I didn't feel able to be a part of CIII but I hope you all enjoyed
yourself at Celebration II.

certainly did... thanks especially to the 501st...

...
and many others!

Some of you will have enjoyed
the first Star Wars Celebration in 1998, in a tent in the
rain.

I had a terrific
time introducing so many of the talented gang involved in The Phantom
Menace.

I also met about 40,000 dedicated Star Wars
fans who stood in line in the rain for hours and still managed to smile.
Their loyalty, good humour and enthusiasm will
live in my memory. They made the show for me and for Dan Madsen who produced
the whole thing.
